  • Nesting…
    By Rob on May 29th, 2007 | 7 Comments7 Comments Comments

IMG_0526I was exiting our porch this morning on my way to class when I narrowly escaped a kamikaze robin dive bombing me. Perplexed by this, my mind wandered in class this morning wondering what I had done to deserve the attack.
When I returned, Kirstie pointed out something on our balcony. It looks like we were not the only ones nesting around here.

Kirstie and I have been doing well with Isabela. She has actually been spoiling us. She sleeps very well, only getting up 1-2 times a night. Kirstie and I have a successful schedule worked out so far. Please pray that things continue to be smooth.

This weeks class is “World Religions” with my favorite teacher, Dr. Thirumalai. The homework load is four two page papers. Nothing too difficult, but I am still trying to balance watching Isabela and doing homework. So far, I have become very proficient typing with one hand. :)

Here are some pictures, and a video of Bela! View the Bela Gallery!

  • Breathing
    By Kirstie on May 22nd, 2007 | 6 Comments6 Comments Comments

IMG_0421   I want to start off this post by thanking God for letting me hear my healthy little girl breathe! It’s so amazing that this beautiful being was cramped up in my stomach for nine months!

So anyway I bet many are wondering how she is doing, sleeping, eating, and ext…. well all can say is so far we are being spoiled! She will wake once or twice during the night! She is eating really well and Isabela has been wonderful about getting passed around! No fussyness!

I would also like to thank everyone for their prayers while I was going through that long labor. I am doing well, I still feel a little weak so please pray for me to get more energy so I can get my wifely and motherly duties done!

Thank you again for all your support!

We are safely back home now… Yay. Isabela has toured the campus, and met her extended “family”. As promised here are some pictures, and a shiny video clip of Bela just moments after her birth!

  • Isabela is here!
    By Rob on May 16th, 2007 | 13 Comments13 Comments Comments

Isabela Rose Doar arrived at 8:19 AM Central Time today. She is 7 pounds 13 ounces, and is healthy.

Kirstie suffered some pretty severe hemmoraging after the birth. She is stable, but please keep praying for her health and safety.

I would love to write more, but I’ve got a baby to go see!
Here are some pictures that Uncle Dan ( My Brother ) took with his cell…  Believe me, there are plenty more pictures to come.

  • Isabela is coming!

We are at our hospital now.  We went to the doctor again this morning, and after 38 hours of straight contractions, Kirstie is oficially in labor!

The doctor has just broken Kirstie’s water and she feels MUCH better.   Her contractions have gotten more consistent, and more focused rather than the irregular tension she was feeling.  She is smiling, and happy now that the end is in sight!

Before the end of the night, we should be parents!
