Yesterday Kirstie and I spent the day at the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor.
It was powerful and insightful to see and hear the stories of the events and heroism the ensued on December 7th, 1941.
The blast that destroyed Arizona and sank her at her berth alongside of Ford Island consumed the lives of 1,177 of the 1,400 on board at the time—over half of the casualties suffered by the entire fleet in the attack.
We did not realize until we noticed the flag at half mast that we had visited on September 11th, an event that many equate similar to Pearl Harbor.
The trip left us mindful of the high price of freedom. Please continue to pray for our troops who above all politics, are fighting for their families, and their fellow Americans.

Coolest Island EVER!

Hey All!
