I spent almost 2 weeks in San Fancisco on business at the Cisco Live Networkers conference.  It was alot of work but I got to have some fun too.
Here is a video from the Customer Appreciation event.  The theme was 80’s, and the preformers were Ton Loc, Flock of Seagulls, The Bengals, Tears for Fears, the B-52’s and DEVO.  Quite the linup.

After the long trip, I had a very difficult flight back, on my birthday no less (The Big 25), but was greeted with a big hug from Bela.
She sure did love the Chinese dress I got her in Chinatown, and our signature Devo hats from the party.

Well, not into our first home as we would have hoped, bet we are back on Bethany International’s campus while we continue our house hunt.

While not ideal to have moves so close together, we needed the space, and Bethany has apartments with no lease, and is only about 1 mile away from where I work, so it seemed like a no-brainier.

We are still getting settled in, but Bela is loving having her own room, and Mateo is getting big! He is finally beginning to smile and react to faces. (It is nice to see expression not caused by gas!)

A BIG thank you to all who helped us move.  We could not have done it without you.

This past week my uncle from Scotland called up and gave us the news that my Grandpa(mom’s side) has lung cancer.  So far the doctors aren’t telling much, but they said that he can’t get any sort of treatment. 

So please pray for him that he doesn’t have to deal with too much pain. And also pray for my mom and myself, because it is so hard being stateside and not being able to go see him.

It has been long a but blessed month.  With mateo being the hospital for the first two weeks of  his life I didn’t relieze it  until I saw today’s date that he has been alive for one month!

I have been blessed with so much support from people,  first of all my parents helped out with Bela sooooooo much and I can’t even describe how thankful  I am for them.  Then for the first week that I was home a lone with the two kiddos our church arranged meals to be brought to me help lighten the load!  I am so thankful for all who have prayed for all of family too!

Bela has been a rock star helper! She is helping get diapers and she talks to mateo when he is upset!  She really is enjoying her role as big sister! And Mateo Is a healthy baby doing the normal Eating , sleeping, pooping.

We are happily rejoicing in Mateo FINALLY coming home.

It has been a long journey, 3 hospitals, 2 weeks, and 1 VERY happy big sister.

Mateo had contracted a very serious case of Group B Strep, which caused meningitus.  It was a very trying 2 weeks, but he pulled through.
We would like to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers, well wishes, letters, notes, etc.  It was so encouraging to be on the minds of so many of you.  We also want to thank the AMAZING stall of the 3 Fairview Hospitals we were at, Southdale, U of M Riverside, and Ridges.  Each one of the nurses and doctors were so kind, and helpful.  It made the whole ordeal so much easier.
