  • Open gym
By Kirstie on September 14th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Something we do at our church is an open gym for younger kids! So today was that day. bela had so much she brought her  bike and having so much fun! She also is seeming kinda interested in one of the boys they hold hands and give each other hugs it’s super cute! I feel blessed that we have a place where she can play and not have to worry about the kids really getting in trouble.

Im getting very excited next weekend I get to go to a womens retreat  so rob gets to have the kids all to his lonesome ( He’s going to his mom he will get some help) so pray for me to learn a lot and be okay without my babies!

  • Mateo’s First Tooth

toothJust in time for our family camping trip, at 89 days old, Mateo sprung his first tooth! We are in awe how fast we see him growing. Kirstie is feeding him his first serving of baby food as I type.

On the housing front, we just submitted an offer on a house that we REALLY like.  Given our track record with offers, we are not getting to hopefull, but the house has been on the market a while, and we are offering asking price, so we are cautiously optimistic…

    We will let you know!

  • A Random Thought in my Head…

It’s been tough and kinda emotional  looking for house.  We keep putting offers in the house either gets a higher bid, not fha approved or already sold.   So I keep praying to God why not yet?  I really wanted to be in one before mateo came and that didn’t come… But God had a better plan!  ( we had the support when Mateo was in the hospital!)  And So I have come to realize God has the house  picked out for us already, We just need to be patient!   I’ve been reading some scripture’s that really ecoured that today!
“ IF you ask anything in my name I will do it.”  John 14:14

How encouraging especially since he calls for us to ask for anything, Nothing is to small or big!

So just keep praying that we don’t loose track that God has a plan for our home!

  • It’s Good to be Home

I spent almost 2 weeks in San Fancisco on business at the Cisco Live Networkers conference.  It was alot of work but I got to have some fun too.
Here is a video from the Customer Appreciation event.  The theme was 80′s, and the preformers were Ton Loc, Flock of Seagulls, The Bengals, Tears for Fears, the B-52′s and DEVO.  Quite the linup.

After the long trip, I had a very difficult flight back, on my birthday no less (The Big 25), but was greeted with a big hug from Bela.
She sure did love the Chinese dress I got her in Chinatown, and our signature Devo hats from the party.

  • We’ve moved… again….
By Rob on June 16th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

bethanyWell, not into our first home as we would have hoped, bet we are back on Bethany International’s campus while we continue our house hunt.

While not ideal to have moves so close together, we needed the space, and Bethany has apartments with no lease, and is only about 1 mile away from where I work, so it seemed like a no-brainier.

mateoWe are still getting settled in, but Bela is loving having her own room, and Mateo is getting big! He is finally beginning to smile and react to faces. (It is nice to see expression not caused by gas!)

A BIG thank you to all who helped us move.  We could not have done it without you.
