The family cuddled up to watch it on ABC last night.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Charles Schultz holds a special place here in Minnesotan culture, obvious by the plethora of &#8220;Peanuts&#8221; character statues located all over the Metro area.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-212" style="border: 2px solid black;" title="Lucy" src="http://doarfamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/lucy-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /> <img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-210" style="border: 2px solid black;" title="Snoopy" src="http://doarfamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/snoopy-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /> <img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-211" style="border: 2px solid black;" title="Linus" src="http://doarfamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/linus-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></p>
<p>There seemed to be even more commercials this year, but then again, that seems to happen every year.  Something that disappointed us all very deeply happened at the end of the show.  Or I guess I should say, didn&#8217;t happen.</p>
<p>My favorite part of the whole show is when Charlie Brown cries out, &#8220;Can anybody tell me what Christmas is all about?1?&#8221;  Linus comes up and tells the <a title="Luke 2:1-20" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke%202:1-20" target="_blank">Christmas Story</a>.<br />
How disappointed I was when ABC omits this pinnacle of the entire special.   Here is the correct ending to &#8220;A Charlie Brown Christmas&#8221;<br />
<object width="480" height="360" data="http://walkernewsdownload.googlepages.com/mediaplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="flashvars" value="file=http://doarfamily.com/wp-content/uploads/linus.flv" /><param name="src" value="http://walkernewsdownload.googlepages.com/mediaplayer.swf" /></object></p>
<p>It saddens me that ABC has taken their effort at political correctness by diminishing the beliefs of Charles Schultz, and his works.  Christmas is about JESUS!  Whether or not you believe in it, it is the Christmas story, and deserves to be told.  I personally would rather them show the special in it&#8217;s entirety, or not at all.</p>

<p>This past Saturday Ted, Catrina, Bela, and I (Kirstie and Sue were at a Women&#8217;s Retreat) were serving at Urban Immersion&#8217;s second official event, giving a free lunch to the community in south Minneapols in 2 locations, including the &#8220;Little Earth&#8221; housing complex.  It was great to witness the youth group from Ebenezer Church (along with some pastors) serving and praying for the people of Minneapolis.  We heard some heartbreaking stories, as well as some amazing praise reports.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">I am currently working with Shawn on planning and coordinating future projects with Urban Immersion.  Shawn has an amazing heart, and has been very excited with our ideas and leadership. We are excited to see how God can use the Urban Immersion program to touch the hearts of not only the inner city community, but the lives of those who we coordinate to serve.</p>

<p>First off, for the last few days, Bela has had a bumpy rash on her body.  At first, it was not bothering her, but it has started to be a bit itchy for her.  We have taken her to 2 different doctors that have suggested we wait and see what happens.  Please pray for healing for the little one.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a class="tt-flickr tt-flickr-Square" href="http://doarfamily.com/photos/photo/2961688427/Uh-oh-shes-got-daddys-credit-cards.html"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3069/2961688427_b1aeee0eea_s.jpg" border="0" alt="Uh oh, she's got daddy's credit cards." width="75" height="75" /></a> <a class="tt-flickr tt-flickr-Square" href="http://doarfamily.com/photos/photo/2962534852/New-sunglasses.html"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3296/2962534852_74894089f9_s.jpg" border="0" alt="New sunglasses" width="75" height="75" /></a> <a class="tt-flickr tt-flickr-Square" href="http://doarfamily.com/photos/photo/2694760294/first-weeks-back.html"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3140/2694760294_75e69e0d37_s.jpg" border="0" alt="first weeks back" width="75" height="75" /></a></p>
<p>We have also hit a rough spot in finances right now.  Our car&#8217;s engine broke down, and is in the process of being replaced.  We really could not find a suitable replacement vehicle at a decent cost, and unfortunately we now have to pay more than we really can afford to get the car back up and running.  Please pray that God will provide for us in this time of need, and that we have wisdom in evaluating our expenses.</p>
<p><span class="tt-flickr tt-flickr-Small"><img class="alignleft" style="border: 0pt none; float: left; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;" src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/131/328290107_0e6c9f1d81_m.jpg" border="0" alt="Grandpa Tellman" width="101" height="152" /></span> Kirstie is doing amazing at home raising a great daughter, while carrying another precious little one.  Thankfully Kirstie has been much less sick this pregnancy.<br />
We also have the blessing of Kirstie&#8217;s parents and sister to help when things are hard.  We must are so thankful for the blessings God reminds of of along with our challenges.<br />
No matter what trials we face, we are allways more blessed than we realize.</p>
<blockquote><p>10/27/08 UPDATE: Thank you all for your prayers.  The rash that confounded doctors is all better.  Bela is happy, and near itch free!</p></blockquote>

But every once in a while, something happens to remind us of God&#8217;s blessing in our lives.  Yesterday, Kirstie and I got back from the doctor to find out that we are <strong>pregnant!</strong></p>
<p><img class="alignleft" style="float: left; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;" src="http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:dNgT-gH0hfHiJM:http://www.pathlights.com/abortion/images/8-week-unborn-baby.jpgmgurl=http://www.pathlights.com/abortion/images/8-week-unborn-baby.jpg&amp;imgrefurl=http://www.pathlights.com/abortion/Pictures.htm&amp;h=411&amp;w=480&amp;sz=41&amp;hl=en&amp;start=2&amp;sig2=XwyJ2FQLdEpd63iTwA64YA&amp;um=1&amp;usg=__gTzh9hqymGOjyaQl2JNtKzsICcQ=&amp;tbnid=dNgT-gH0hfHiJM:&amp;tbnh=110&amp;tbnw=129&amp;ei=9wXUSI7gI4_ierWuoaIK&amp;prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbaby%2B8%2Bweeks%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3Dg36%26sa%3DG" alt="" width="129" height="110" />We rejoice in the news and the precious responsibility that God has given us with his Creation.  The best estimation we have is that we are about 6 weeks along, putting the birthday about May 13th, 2009.  (3 Days before Bela&#8217;s birthday!)</p>
<p>Please pray for us and follow our journey as God works this little miracle together in Kirstie&#8217;s womb.</p>
