Isabela’s Dedication
-
Bela had a great dedication today!
Her godparents (Mike and Lindy Waskosky) and grandparents were there as Isabela was dedicated to the Lord. The church stood with us, and affirmed their commitment to help raise Isabela for Jesus… Yay!
We had several people stop by and talk to us about partnering with our ministry over the 3 services. Please pray that more people will concider partnering with us, and expanding our ministry!
Thanks all for your prayers and support! We couldn’t do our ministry without you!!

Hey guys! How wonderful the dedication! I loved hearing you guys speak! The partnership idea is such a good idea! I’m praying for Bela and that the results come back okay!!! Just remember that no matter how bad things get, the darkest of nights always bring the brighestst of mornings!

Dear Kirsty & Rob,
I am pleased to read and hear about your daughter, who is rather cute. No doubt you are enjoying the role of being parents. I received your card in London. However, I am not clear as to the purpose of your ministry, especially as the ‘Our Ministry’ section of this website has not been written. Would you mind dropping me an email about your ministry so I may have a better understanding?
I shall certainly pray for the water build up on your daughter’s head to disappear. However, I don’t believe you should be requesting a prayer for your car, especially immediatly after a prayer request for your daughter who generally needs God’s attention. Requesting a prayer for your car devalues the whole religious process and I find it immoral & insulting as a Catholic.
Please consider, more carefully, what you choose to prayer for, and indeed ask others to join you in pray.
Regards,
Winston

Winston, Thanks for the prayer… We are working on updating the “Our Ministry” page as we find time. Until it is up, you can read our newsletter The Knock, (Hopefully you received these by mail also)
As for Kirstie’s prayer about the car, the bible is very clear that we should come to him with all things in prayer and faithfulness.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4.6-7
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him - 1 John 5:14-15
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it - John 14:13-14
I am not sure what “religious process” is, or how praying for our needs devalues it, but I know that God does NOT desire religion, He desires right relationships with Him. God’s concern is not so much for right ritual or prayers, but to cure the deep needs in the human heart.
Is our car more important that Bela’s health? Of course not. Not even close. But all of our needs are important to God, and all needs are worthy of prayer.

Hi Rob,
I’m afraid you will have to ask the opinion of a qualified Catholic priest or Protestent vicar in regards to the sections you have pulled out of the Bible. I am not able to answer your question on that issue. Whenever I have a question on the bible, or indeed anything that touches faith, I refer to established church as it has two thousand years of experiance in that department.
It is a scary thought when one hears about people of no established church affliation and no seminary training, picking up the Bible and deciding to preach. The Bible is open to so many different interpretations that it can be very misleading and create false hope when in the hands of one who has not been educated in it.
The fact your faith in your personal life brings joy and a sense of fulfullment is very good. A believe in God is a great asset. However, I can’t comment on this subject any longer because I don’t feel comfortable talking about it any longer.
