Our Ministry

  • Thanks for taking the time to read about the ministry of Rob, Kirstie, and Isabela Doar!

    Our Vision

Family Mission Statement: “To equip people and ministries with effective knowledge, tools, and mentoring to maximize ministry outreach and create disciples for Christ.”
Our family’s vision is to see disciples created throughout the Latin American community by sharing the love of God.
Matthew 28:18-20 Calls us to make disciples, teaching them the ways of Jesus. Making Christians is not making disciples. Discipleship is a process that requires mentoring, accountability, and being part of the body of Christ. This is what we want to example, and develop in the Latin people.

    Current Ministries:

    • Valley Christian Church
      • Rob is aiding Latin American Outreach
      • Kirstie is been working with hospitality ministries
      • Rob has helped with leading on the worship team.
      • Rob has been teaching children’s Sunday-school and Wednesday bible studies.
    • Rob has devoted time to other missionaries helping them with web development and digital media.
    • Leading Worship for Cedarcrest Church in Bloomington, MN.
    • Working with Good in the ‘Hood.

    The Future:

We have been trained by Bethany College of Missions in cross-cultural studies and evangelism. Our time at Bethany has given us insights into the calling we have as a family, the Spiritual gifts that God has given us, and methods to maximize the effectiveness of our ministry.

    ecuador

Our long term field is Ecuador. God has made it clear to us the potential our gifts have with the needs of the people in La Concorida, Ecuador while working with the Luz del Evangelio School.

Rob is trained and certified to teach English, and computer skills. The future job prospects for people with computer skills and/or English are incredible in the Ecuadorian job market. Rob also has a passion for Entrepreneurship and Business as Missions.
Kirstie has a heart for children with special needs. No schools in La Concorida, Ecuador are equipped, trained, or even desire to work with special needs children. While this is a great challenge, Kirstie desires to create an environment for children with special needs to grow.
We hope to be on the field permanently by the end of 2008 or early 2009.

    Work in Progress:

On April 2nd, The Doars will depart for a three month survey trip to Ecuador. From Rob’s time there in 2004, there are plenty of ministries to be worked with through in Ecuador.  Our goal with this three month trip is identify 1-2 ministries that will benefit the most from the gifts that God has given us. Knowing the ministries we will be working with will give us the ability to come home and strategically plan for our lifetime of ministry in Ecuador.

79966903_1622ca2e7f After the three months, we will return home to raise our startup costs, and monthly support needed to maintain our ministry in Ecuador. We are so thankful to our Lord that he has surrounded us with people interested in our ministry.
