  • Snowshoeing at Highland
By on February 16th, 2010 | No Comments Comments

Sunday, we got a change to gout out again for some winter fun.  It was a great relief for me, as I had just put in a 70 hour work week in Las Vegas, and missed the kids and Kirst greatly.

We all went to Highland Lake and hit the snowshoe trails.  Thanks to (Great) Grandma and Grandpa Tellman for the Christmas snowshoes…  They are getting much use!

Bela askes us everyday to go out snowshoeing, and seems to have no concept of getting cold.  She will be starting to shiver, and will still emphatically reply “NO!” when asked if she is getting cold.
She also has taken a liking to ice skating, and we think she will love watching it on the Olympics…

    Here’s a fer pics of out outing…

    Out for a winter stroll.

“Mommy, You’re at the top of the Mountain!”

    Bela striking a pose.

“I made tracks like the deer!”

    Teo snowshoeing

    Teo is clearly miserable.

  • Mateo’s First Tooth

toothJust in time for our family camping trip, at 89 days old, Mateo sprung his first tooth! We are in awe how fast we see him growing. Kirstie is feeding him his first serving of baby food as I type.
    img_2535Bela is helping…

On the housing front, we just submitted an offer on a house that we REALLY like.  Given our track record with offers, we are not getting to hopefull, but the house has been on the market a while, and we are offering asking price, so we are cautiously optimistic…

    We will let you know!

  • Mateo is home!

We are happily rejoicing in Mateo FINALLY coming home.

    Mateo is home

It has been a long journey, 3 hospitals, 2 weeks, and 1 VERY happy big sister.

Mateo had contracted a very serious case of Group B Strep, which caused meningitus.  It was a very trying 2 weeks, but he pulled through.
We would like to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers, well wishes, letters, notes, etc.  It was so encouraging to be on the minds of so many of you.  We also want to thank the AMAZING stall of the 3 Fairview Hospitals we were at, Southdale, U of M Riverside, and Ridges.  Each one of the nurses and doctors were so kind, and helpful.  It made the whole ordeal so much easier.

    Praise God!
